Em & Dee {Child Portrait Photographer}

I had the pleasure of photographic Em and Dee on a particularly hot morning at Sydney's gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous Bronte Beach. As it happens, Dee is my cousin and her daughter Emma is one of my favourite children in the whole world. She's super smart, super sassy and is pretty gorgeous in front of the camera.

Emma obviously has a special relationship with her mum, who is also a lovely and extremely strong woman who I am lucky to call family. Thank you to both Em and Dee for a wonderful session - I had super fun!

One: Hui and David

Gosh, it has been a while, hasn't it? 2010 has arrived and with the new decade comes a MASSIVE year for Hannah Lundberg Photography. After some serious technical issues (my computers and my own health) I am back on board and ready to rock the new year. After some stints in hospital (for me), a trip to tech heaven (my computers) and some laptop perusal I am back in action, babies!

I met Hui and David they day before their first wedding anniversary. They are a gorgeous and sweet couple who met in their university days and while it took them a year or three to realise they were meant for each other, they made it up the aisle and through their first year of marriage. And what better occasion for a fun, giant Polaroid frame bedecked session than one's first wedding anniversary? None, I say!

I love me some train station goodness. If only they let you take photographs on the station platforms themselves!

Aren't Hui's shoes awesome? They were the wedding backups, I think anniversary portraits are a great time to give the backups an outing!

Aren't they just the cutest couple ever. Hui and David, you're awesome and I wish you all the best for the happy years I am certain to come.

I Heart Faces: Sunflare

I have decided to start entering some of the online photography competitions that run each week. It is a good excuse for me to work to different 'briefs' from a photographic perspective.

This week's challenge is 'Sun Flare' and it is being guest judged by Becker who is one of a few amazing Southern Californian wedding photographers who I really, truly admire.

Aren't these two gorgeous?

Sneak Peek: Nicola and Nathan {Sydney Event Photography}

I had the honour of being asked to photograph Nicola and Nathan's wedding reception. It was a gorgeous and intimate affair at Rydges Cronulla.

Nicola met Nathan at work. He had come to her work as they were one of his clients in his then fledgling company. He noticed her, and she noticed him noticing her! They went on a date or three and the rest, they say, is history.

Nicola and Nathan married on their third anniversary, accompanied by their delight of a baby boy Sebastian, and the joy and love was simply amazing.

Thank you to Nicola and Nathan for including me in your celebrations! I hope you enjoyed your honeymoon and I can't wait to reveal more images from your fabulous celebrations.

Sneak Peek: Emma and Nick

I met Emma and Nick to do their engagement photographs at Centennial Park, in Sydney's East. Centennial Park is just gorgeous and we found lots of stunning places to explore.

Emma and Nick were gorgeous, goofy and their love and joy was nothing short of infectious. I can't wait to show you more!

Sarah & Dan {Sydney Wedding Photographer}

I'm baaa-ack! I spent last weekend away shadowing the truly wonderful and awesomely talented Jessie Broome of Melbourne's J Studios. Jessie is pretty much the nicest person ever and she is a really brilliant photographer. I assisted her at Sarah and Dan's wedding on Saturday, which was a blast, and I even got some time to take a photograph or ten, too.

Sarah and Dan were super sweet and fa-habulous! They married last Saturday in a gorgeous, laid back affair at the Grange in Victoria's beautiful Yarra Valley. It was an absolute pleasure to be present at their wedding and the experience definitely fuelled my love for wedding photography.

Sarah wore a gorgeous silk Mariana Hardwick gown in the palest shade of blush. It was fierce and sweet all at the same time. And let's not even start talking about how hot her shoes were! I am a sucker for bows (and Vera Wang Princess scent!).

Sarah look ah-mah-zing in her dress. The colour was almost imperceptible and yet added such a sweetness to her ensemble. Just love it.

Dan and Sarah opted for a First Look. I am certainly not the first photographer to say this, nor the last, and I am sure I will repeat it: First Looks are awesome. It is an intimate and lovely way to see each other for the first time as bride and groom. I think it adds to the anticipation of the ceremony, personally. Just a little note, Sarah's dad drove past during the first look on this gorgeous tree lined driveway into the venue and was so cute trying to avoid seeing her. Unlike Dan, he was determined not to see her all scrubbed up until he was just about to escort her down the aisle!

Time to pop the Moet! And sip it from Vera Wang toasting glasses, natch. I had to pass the cork popping duties to someone else, I was so nervous about accidentally somehow getting it near Sarah's dress!

The lovely ceremony was held down by the Yarra River bank. The decor was so fresh and lovely, with a last minute rush to get those roses tucked into chairs!

The ceremony was lovely and heartfelt. They were troopers in the positively searing heat, even though it was five thirty in the evening!

Refreshments down by the riverbank. I have to say it again, aren't her shoes fabulous?

In to the cocktail reception to cool down and to start celebrating!

The truly amazing and super tasty lolly bar. It was indescribable. Sarah insisted that we take some lollies, making me say for the first time but certainly not the last that photography is the most awesome job for so many reasons, but I didn't realise endless sweets was one of them!

The delicious cupcakes, aren't they just the sweetest (pun intended) little cakes you ever have seen? In addition to endless lollies, Sarah insisted we take a cake each too. Awesomest (yes, I can invent words) bride ever. Awesomest cakes ever.

Cakes and kisses. This is why I love love love weddings.

I so enjoyed my time at this wedding. Thanks to Dan and Sarah for being so kind and lovely on this biggest of days. Your grace and humour was reflected in your approach to each other and to your lovely wedding. '

Thanks again to Jessie, you rock the casbah, lady!

Miss S {Sydney Baby Portrait Photographer}

Miss S is simply the most gorgeous little girl. Smiling, happy and cute to boot. We had a delightful afternoon shooting in warm mid-October sun.

I LOVE shooting with bubs, especially in that lovely age where they are still definitely babies but just have such gorgeous burgeoning personality!

Will you just LOOK at those eyes? Gorgeous, I tell you!

Thanks to Miss S and her mother, Carolyn, for such a lovely afternoon. I hope you love the photos.
